Laura drove from Newmarket to visit our New Tecumseth Studio as part of the 40 over 40 portrait experience. I am forever grateful for all the women I get to photograph and Laura is a special human. A mother to boys ranging from toddlers to teens, she gives her all to her family and work.
We had a blast designing and preparing for Laura’s shoot. She surprised herself when searching through the inspiration photos, thinking she wanted more reserved images but ended up loving a more intimate bad-ass, strong woman look! She rocked it! And loved her images so much that she came back to purchase more! Now that is a woman who appreciates herself and wants to be reminded of her strength and beauty every day she wakes up and sees her image on the wall!

Why did you decide to participate in this portrait experience?
I am trying to embrace aging and to see beauty at every stage of life. I've always wanted to get portraits done!
What are your thoughts on aging?
When I was young I thought I'd embrace my laugh lines and everything that comes with aging. When I started noticing lines etc I had a hard time accepting it. After participating in the project I am shocked at how beautiful I am. I am natural and sexy and sweet.
How did this experience affected your overall morale or confidence?
The experience of having hair, makeup and styling of outfits and poses was amazing and fun. I felt beautiful , powerful and emboldened to try a variety of photos. Hair and makeup was beautiful. It highlighted my features. I felt pampered.
