"I love this image of me, but have no idea what I would use it for"
This was a comment from one of my photography clients during her image reveal session the other day. (not the woman shown above)
She came to me for new headshots and after talking, she decided that she wanted to participate in my "40 Over 40 Campaign" for women aged 40 and up (to 100 and beyond!).
While viewing her images, she made the comment above. And it sort of made me sad.
I just want to tell you that you do NOT need a reason to have photographs taken of yourself. And that it is OKAY to have no clue what you will do with them.
They do not need to be used online as a headshot, nor be a gift for someone.
Women come to my studio for many reasons and some none at all!
"I have always wanted to feel like a model for a day"
"I have gone through a big transition or challenge and just want to feel good in my body and mind again"
"I need to do something fun for myself"
"It's time to step out of my comfort zone"
All of these are PERFECT reasons to book yourself a photo session and have your images printed professionally. It's okay to have your photo taken JUST BECAUSE. And its more than okay to really really LOVE an image of yourself!
I promise you, someday, somewhere, somebody will find your images and be SO GRATEFUL and thankful for you for doing this!
